Y-type Filter

As the name suggests a Y type strainer is a mechanical filter device that is used to remove solid particles such as rust, pipe scale, and dirt from liquids, gases, and steam. The filter gets its name from its Y shape, which allows for a smooth flow and minimal pressure drop. T-type Filter

Precautions for Using Filter

Verify that the directional arrow on the strainer body matches the actual flow direction of the pipeline.

For vertical pipelines, ensure the flow is top-to-bottom, and the drain port faces sideways, in the direction of flow.
